The American military services each operate under a number of Core Values. Every soldier, sailor, marine and airman is trained and expected to uphold his or her branch of service's core values. Defending America's Integrity Alliance believes those same core values are worthy of promotion throughout American society — especially when politicians use the military and its traditions for partisan political gain.

One might say that the core purpose of the DAIA is to uphold the core values of the military services. More importantly, DAIA provides points of access to policymakers and the media, camaraderie and constructive political participation for military personnel and civilians.
